01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Blending Swiss Gruyère cheese with mashed potatoes, Papan's signature aligot is chewy, rich, and deeply satisfying. It is best enjoyed by scooping it up with the accompanying stone-oven baguette or house-baked bread. The bread is baked fresh in-house every day and served with free refills, making it easy to mop up every drop of sauce throughout the meal.

The appetisers feature an appealing range of wine-friendly small plates, including smooth white liver pâté served with brioche, thick slices of pâté de campagne, and grilled scallop adductor muscles blanketed in a rich sea urchin sauce. For the main course, guests can choose from substantial meat dishes such as tender roasted Magret duck breast, roasted Iwanaka pork, and slow-braised beef cheek in red wine as the meal progresses.

For drinks, the wine list spans everything from sommelier-curated bottles to glasses, with staff on hand to recommend an easy-going pour suited to your taste and dishes. Outfitted in warm wood, the dining room offers both counter and table seating, making it equally welcoming whether dropping in solo for an appetiser and a glass of wine or gathering with a group around shared plates.
